Miss Hayden was simply stunning and a pure joy to work with during her senior portraits. A girl after my heart…I loved her shoe choice (Birkenstocks). Film is Fuji400h shot with the Pentax 645n + the Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm 2.0 lens. Photos were taken at the Riverfront Riding Center in Seaford, Virginia and Yorktown Beach, Yorktown, Virginia.

FALL! It’s officially on! Happy 1 October everybody!! I love this time of year…crisp weather, excuses to bake more & holiday photo sessions. I found these super cute miniature white pumpkins at Trader Joe’s & just had to have them. Purple flowers are courtesy of David Middleton (Tim’s dad). He has a magic green thumb & the most amazing things grow in his garden/yard.
I can’t even begin to describe how special this session is to me. In May I hosted a 1:1 film mentoring session with friend & fellow talented photographer Deanna of Deanna Casey Photography. When our previously scheduled model had to cancel, the beautiful and super sweet Molly of Molly Lichten Photography and her fiancé Josh stepped in to save the day! Everything happens for a reason. What also made this session super special is that Molly & Josh were recently engaged. Josh & Molly also shoot film, so all-in-all our collaboration consisted of 4 film photographers and one amazingly talented makeup artist. Thank you heaps to Noel of www.noelrissmiller.com for your gorgeous & ethereal makeup artistry!
I am continuously humbled and grateful for the opportunity to work with other talented artists here in the coastal Virginia area. This session took place in Historic Yorktown, Virginia at the Nelson House mansion. All images were taken with the Pentax 645n medium format film camera using Fuji 400h pro film. Images developed and scanned by Photovision Lab in Oregon.
